Armed with a powerpoint, and snacks, a few of us from my office visited Timberhill Villa today to talk to the residents about dental health, gum disease, and implants. The people who attended enjoyed the cookies and we had a great time talking about some of their dental concerns. I was able to advise them on ways they might obtain care through different services available in the city. I really do appreciate the opportunity to speak to patients — even in a managed care facility — because it is a great personal reminder of how important it is to get one’s house in order when you have the health, financial means and independence to do so.
